仙台青葉まつり (Sendai Aoba Festival)
Sendai Aoba Festival is held on the third weekend of May every year. The highlight is Suzume Odori (Sparrow Dance) on the eve of the festival and the parade of Yamaboko (Decorated Festival Floats) on the day of the festival. People who want to join in the Sparrow Dance can try it on the eve of the festival. There are lots of food stands in Kotodai Park and you’ll enjoy the local cuisine.
仙台青葉まつりは毎年5月第3週の週末に開催されています。見どころは宵まつりに行われるすずめ踊りと本まつりに行われる山鉾巡行です。宵まつりでは、一般の方もすずめ踊りに飛び入り参加できます。勾当台公園の伊達縁には美味が大集合していて、郷土料理が楽しめます。
